His hunger for ancient secrets is tempered by a belief that magic should serve the greater good — not those who hoard its power.

Backstory:

Once a librarian’s apprentice in a crumbling city archive, Alric uncovered a forgotten tome hinting at the location of a long-lost magical artifact. When the library mysteriously burned down the next night, Alric took it as a sign to leave his old life behind. He has been wandering ever since, unraveling riddles, collecting spells, and seeking the knowledge that others would rather keep buried.
