FlameReaper, Demon Hunter's Warglaive - WOW

March 10, 2025
Description
----2025.3.31 Added new profile Part4_Shoulder_MultiColor for the heros don't want to paint manually, but it really takes quite a long time to print. Please ignore the alarm, just some overlapping surfaces that don't affect the slices.
----2025.3.18 QuickFix of Part5_Blade. Make a little change on the smallest blade piece to reduce the gap between the two pieces. If you are not satisfied with the old one, you can replace with the new one.
----
Demon Hunter‘s warglaive in WOW 7.0 Legion, FlameReaper.
- The overall length is about 118cm, not compatible with A1mini.
- Two as a set, Main(Right) hand and Off(Left) hand.
- Compatible with:
- [ None Sound Light Kit ]
- [ Old Sound Light Kit, ZC007 ], 45cm long single LED strip
- [ New Sound Light Kit, B-ZC010 + B-KA010x2 ], 81cm long single LED strip
- If you want to achieve the full glowing effect of the horns, runes and blades in the video to unleash the full power, you must use the new kit.
- Similar to Frostmourne, it is large and highly detailed, so I have divided the model into 5 parts in order to facilitate detailed descriptions of each part as well as easy to make updates in the future.
About Print Profile:
- All parts passed the non-glued printing test, although I still recommend glue the plate as some of the pieces take a long time to print and the risk of print failure should be minimised.
- All parts are pre-supported and ready to print.
- PETG and PLA are both good, although PETG is recommended due to the large size, and the full set in the video is 100% done in PETG.
- Main Hand Warglaive = [Part1_Handle_MainHand] + [Part2_Body_MainHand] + [Part3_Horn] + [Part4_Shoulder] + [Part5_Blade]x2
- Off Hand Warglaive = [Part1_Handle_OffHand] + [Part2_Body_OffHand] + [Part3_Horn] + [Part4_Shoulder] + [Part5_Blade]x2
- There are no special notes on Part1-Part4, just be sure to differentiate between the handle parts of MH and OH, they are not simply symmetrical, the holes for the Reset buttons are in different locations, so please don't make the mistake of directly mirroring the Main Hand piece and printing it as a Off Hand piece.
- Part4_Shoulder: The shoulder has a large support surface, but I divided it into small areas so it's not hard to remove even with PETG.
- Part5_Blade: This is a very challenging piece to design, to be on the safe side I set the speed down with a modifier at the top position of the largest blade to make sure it doesn't fail, but it is still printable even without the speed down. I've printed 11 sets of these blades and spent a lot of time debugging them, so feel free to do so.
About Assembly:
Please see the attached assembly guide for the installation sequence. There are 3 versions, the new and old kits have different alignments, please compare carefully.
- Even if you are ready to install the sound and light kit, it is recommended to follow the basic version to test-fit it once to familiarise yourself with the structure, then disassemble and install the kit. When installing the new soft strip, please make sure to be careful about the parts closing and pressing on the strip, although I designed it with enough space reserved, it's still compact overall, and the correctly installed strip will still be able to be pumped slowly rather than being stuck tightly.
- All slots are fully optimised, but as PETG printing may accumulate filament on some of the small sockets, please use a knife to clean it up before assembling. The Brim at the bottom of the blade also needs to be cleaned up, otherwise it may be too tight when assembling.
- If you are using it lightly, such as an ornament or COSPLAY prop, you don't need to glue it, but if you are going to use it heavily, such as fight with someone like me in the video, then you need to glue the connection of the 2 piece of the blades, make them one. The rests are firm enough that gluing will make it inconvenient to take off the Sound Light kit.
About Sound and Light Kit:
- The full FlameReaper sound and light effects are HERE TO DOWNLOAD.
- How to use: Backup and delete the [1] folder in the original tf card, unzip the [1] and [all-lightfile] in the package to the root directory, press the motherboard Reset button once, and then call the sound and light effects in the APP.
About Color:
- This is the ref. There is no special color restriction for this weapon, as long as the gold border part is metallic, the horns are dark, and the other colors are in a same color scheme, it's supposed to look pretty.
If you don't have a sound and light kit, it is recommended to print the runes and the blades with a glow filament.
- If you use the old [ZC007] kit, the horns and runes can't be illuminated and can be printed without transparent.
- If you use the new [B-ZC010] + [B-KA010] kit, in order to achieve the best results, it is recommended to print the horns with transparent, and then spray black primer from top to bottom lightly to make a translucent gradient black, just like the ones in video. Then it should be very close to the game look.
Demon Hunter, used to be the class that my wife and I shared, so this piece is my light, nothing else to say. If you like it, please follow me and give me a like :)
