Welcome to the updated Kumiko Pattern Generator V2—inspired by the traditional Japanese lattice art form and infused with new, exciting features. This version builds on the original Kumiko Pattern Generator, giving you deeper control over shapes, tiling, and extrusion heights.

What’s New? 🌱

1. Masking Shapes
   Clip or “frame” your design in a triangle, circle, square (rectangle), or hexagon.
2. Hexagonal Tiling
   Enjoy a honeycomb layout that adds a fascinating geometric aesthetic.
3. Variable Heights
   Independently set the major bar, minor bar, and frame heights. Big thanks to Creative Inertia for sparking this idea!
4. Fresh Patterns
   Explore new patterns, including “molecule,” which takes a clever twist on nested hexes.

Parametric & 3D-Printer Friendly ⚙️

Everything is parametric—change a few values, click render, and export the STL to your 3D printer. It’s a breeze to try different configurations and see how each parameter shapes the final piece.

Customizable Parameters 📜

• pattern_type (e.g., “hexagon”, “asanoha”, “molecule”): Which pattern style to generate.
• frame_enabled: Toggle the outer frame on/off.
• frame_shape: Pick a shape (square, circle, triangle, hexagon) for your frame mask.
• frame_thickness, frame_extrude_height: Adjust the wall thickness and height of the frame.
• frame_width / frame_height, frame_diameter, frame_triangle_side: Dimensions for different frame shapes.
• tile_radius: Size of each hex tile in the grid.
• major_thickness / major_height: Thickness and height for major bars.
• minor_thickness / minor_height: Thickness and height for minor bars.
• columns / rows: Number of tiles horizontally and vertically.
