Description
model of the german WW2 prototype aircraft in 1:72 scale
The Messerschmitt Bf 109Z (Zwilling) was an experimental twin-fuselage version of the Bf 109 fighter developed by Germany during World War II. The design aimed to enhance speed, firepower, and range by joining two Bf 109 fuselages with a shared wing and tail section. It featured two engines but had a single pilot cockpit in the left fuselage. The project was intended for use as a heavy fighter or bomber destroyer. However, the only prototype was reportedly damaged in an Allied bombing raid before testing could be completed, and the project was ultimately abandoned.
