Description

I developed this clock around the Bell&Ross BR05 watch.  It includes an adjustable date which you can manipulate with the thumbwheel off to the right side.  The date is not automatic unfortunately.  The movement is the same as the one you can purchase from Bambu Labs however, I bought mine from Amazon as it came with a mix of hands and second hands.

For materials I used:

Polymaker Army Blue PLA

Overture Easy White PLA

Elegoo Black PLA

Sunlu Elite Silk Silver PLA

Overture Space Grey PLA

You will also need 4- 4mm x 12mm screws to mount the face to the body.  And 1- 4mm x 8mm screw for the thumbwheel.  I get these from Amazon in a set of various sizes under the Hilitchi brand.

The silver from Sunlu was tough to work with and I was not able to print the clock body with this material.  I found it to be a poor finish on the exterior no matter the speed or heat settings.  As such, for the body it was replaced with the Overture Space Grey.  The indicators are all in silver.  The clock face and date ring are white and blue.

Here are a special bunch of tips:

  1.  Clean your build plate thoroughly with Dawn dishwashing soap and hot water before each print.  You'll be surprised how many little dark strings there are and they'll get picked up by the white.
  2. I use Elmer's Glue Stick for every print.  Yes I realize most people hate it but it works for me.  Especially with small details.  After application, smooth it out with your thumb so nothing is sticking up from the plate.
  3. If you want great smooth prints, slow down.
  4. Make sure the seams are where you want them before you start.
  5. Use the Nut on the side of the build plate in the slicer to open and select your print sequence by color.  Print white, silver, blue, and black in that order.  Essentially, light colors first.  The only exception is the indicators which are silver first, then white.
  6. Some gluing is required.  I use Loctite Super Glue Gel.  Be quite careful not to get glue on the visible parts of the clock face.  I placed the glue on the indicators first and then held them in place for 90 seconds.  And don't glue your fingers together!

If you find any errors please let me know.  I'll be happy to fix them although I printed two of these and they came out great.  Assembly is pretty straight forward but let me know if you need help.  Hopefully everyone will enjoy the model.
