Description
Skeletal bird or raven in ornate fram gothic magnet!
Â
I made some gothic designed ornaments for Christmas and really loved them and was sad that they were only really relevant during Christmas time. I was looking at designs and saw magnets and thought that would be perfect for them! I started with the skeletal bird (design from Craiyon.com) since it was my favorite. I decided to work with fairly thin magnets that are only 1mm thick. You could possibly do a thicker one in the wing area, but I wanted to just work with smaller ones so that's what I have here!
Â
I wanted to put the magnets right in the print so they wouldn't be sticking out the back both so it would look nice, so they couldn't break off, and so they wouldn't scratch a fridge. So, you need to pause the print to insert the magnets (there is a pause in the print profiles). For mine, I used 4 small magnets and one slightly larger one because that's what I felt like buying, but I provided a couple different plate options.Â
Â
Plate 1: 4  ¼" magnet and 1  3/16" Magnet
Plate 2: smaller 5   ¼" magnets
Plate 3: 5 Â 3/16" magnets
Â
The magnet holes were added right in Bambu Slicer so you can actually just resize the holes I added if you have different size magnets, otherwise my magnets were ¼" diameter by 1/32" thick and 3/16" diameter by 1/32" thick. I used multiple to help with overall magnetic strength of the magnet.Â
