Description
Edit: Mk. 2 Is available here. Lighter and with better airflow… but basically the same thing.
A Rugged, Hyper-Stylized, TPU TinyWhoop Canopy designed for use on an BetaFPV Air65 or Air75.
Available in 15, 25 and 35 degree variants.
Compatible with but not tested on whoops with similar sized components.
STEP files provided for easy remix and modification.
I'm fairly new to flying tinywhoops IRL and started with an Air65 & Air75.
I tried a bunch of TPU canopies, and didn't find anything that I really liked… I broke a few.
I needed something stronger, that I liked, and this is where I've ended up.
Weight and aerodynamics weren't my priority, but I don't feel any major difference flying with this canopy compared to the others I've tried. I've sent about 8 packs on an Air75 outdoors and liked the results.
Rough weight after printing is 4.3-5g depending on print settings.
Design Notes
I aimed to make this easy to print, optimised for TPU in either 3 walls on a .4 nozzle or 2 on a .6 nozzle.
Supports are required but supported surfaces should be fairly well hidden after assembly.
i printed on a modified Ender 3 with a .6 nozzle and .2mm layer height.
I used Sunlu 95A White TPU, but any TPU seems fine.
Pull supports, cut strings, assemble with care.
It's fiddly, but I found that camera first is easiest. Then using tweasers for the VTX and RX antenna made it easier to pull them through from the outside.
