Description
The legendary Aero L-39 Albatros as a functional and yet model-accurate glider
The L-39 Albatros training aircraft has become an international legend. Although many people today consider it to be an aircraft invented and manufactured in Russia (then the Soviet Union), this is a mistake. In fact, this elegant training and light combat aircraft comes from Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic).
In the Soviet Union and a number of other countries, the army used them to train combat aircraft.
That is why these machines often have Russian inscriptions today. This is not because they were manufactured in the USSR, but because the Russians only flew them.
And when the Albatros stopped being used by the Russian army over time, they became available for free sale, thanks to which private American fans of jet aircraft also got their hands on them. One of them is, for example, the legendary actor and great fan of flying Tom Cruise. Another well-known user of the Czechoslovak Albatros is the aerobatic group Breitling Jet Team.
If you are also a fan of the elegance and performance of the L-39 Albatros aircraft, then I have it for you. Despite its size, the model is less than 18 cm long and is equipped with scale details that are as close to its real model as possible.
This model not only looks like a plane, it even flies. Of course, considering its size and scale details, it probably wouldn't win races with full-fledged models, but with a little practice, this model actually flies unexpectedly well. Even when printed from PLA, the model is durable enough to survive a possible crash without damage.
After printing, all you have to do is insert the wings into the fuselage and that's it. There is no need to balance anything before flying, the print data is prepared so that the model has the center of gravity in the right place.
If you like this model, you can also print another model from this series - this time the World War II legend Supermarine Spitfire.

A teď česky:
