Description
Introducing KeyNest 3D printed key wallet! Using the ridge key wallet as inspiration I set out to design a fully 3d printable one. Please read the assembly instructions below! Can hold 1 up to 5 keys using the included spacers with adjustable tension so you can have the keys swing freely or a little effort to push them out. If you're tired of carrying around a bulky keychain filled with keys than look no further. Enhance you EDC without breaking the bank. Also check out the option to cut the plastic keychain off and install a metal one below the instructions.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
For M4 bolt version you need a M4 nut and 16mm bolt and can skip all steps talking about 3D printed nut and bolt possible tolerance issue fixes :)
PreStep. Clean build plate with soap and hot water small parts might not stick well to a nonclean surface so a freshly cleaned build plate will insure best results.
Step 1. Remove supports and optional step of deburring where the supports were to smooth out any roughness.
Step 2. This step is not always required however because of how 3d printing tolerances are you may have to screw the nut & bolt into the top side and screw it down until you go through the bolt. Below are photos showing those steps.
Step 3. Press the nut into the KeyNest. It can be tight but its meant to sit snugly into that spot.
Step 5. Grab your keys you want to attach and any of the spacers that may be needed and push screw through said keys and spacer and screw the bolt into the nut.
Step 6. Adjust tension until you are happy with it and you are ready to use :)
METAL KEYRING INSTALL
