AUTOMATIC music box - Hogwarts Castle/Harry Potter

Welcome to the enchanting world of Hogwarts, brought to life through the magic of music and craftsmanship! 

 

Introducing the Ultimate Hogwarts Music Box, a creation born from a desire to combine wizarding charm with the timeless tradition of wind-up music mechanisms.

 

This fully automatic music box operates on a simple yet magical principle: wind it up, open the lid, and be greeted by the familiar, mystical tunes that echo the halls of Hogwarts. Closing the lid gently silences the music, ready to be awakened again with your next visit.

 

Frustrated by the lack of wind-up options available, I designed this model through the use of multiple models, and some of my own original designs, by fusing a very clever music box, with a gorgeous castle. along with an embedded logo and other elements to to conjure this exceptional piece. Larger than most, it not only plays music but also serves as a keeper of your precious mementos.

 

For those who admire subtlety or wish to personalize their experience, this music box comes with an interchangeable blank lid. This allows every wizard to tailor their magical music box to their liking, whether it's proudly showcasing Hogwarts or opting for a simpler, unbranded elegance.

 

 

To hear the echoing tune of Hogwarts you will need a few things;
 

You will need a wind up style music box (Not the crank style, - there may be some issues with the gold wind up version) These are easily accessible through amazon or elsewhere. Alternatively you can purchase Bambu labs music box if you do not care for the Hedwig theme.

You will also require a spring, which may be pulled from any click pen. An m3 x 20 screw. As well as two magnets (2) 6x1.5mm.
 

Step into the magic—every turn of the key, every lift of the lid, brings Hogwarts closer to home.

 

Instructions

1. Insert the music box (wind up version) inside and attach the handle and two screws from the bottom side.

 

 

2. You will now need to get a spring from any click pen, and cut it down to 16mm in size. 

 

 

3. Now insert the m3x20mm screw inside the corresponding hole with the spring. It is recommended (but not required) to glue the spring in place, so that if you turn the box upside down while open it will not fall out) - The screw and spring will allow the mechanism to start and stop automatically when the lid opens and closes.

 

 

 

4. Now we will align the lid and base and insert a piece of filament for the hinge. 

 

 

5. Now we will glue the magnets (2 6x1.5mm)

 

 

6. Now we must glue the feet in place. (does not matter which order this step is done in)

 

6. Finally we must insert the trey and you are finished.
