Description

Inspired by many designs I created an optimal filament clip.

After testing many iterations it now clicks in with an satisfying sound, without any play and also can be removed easily.
Please Use 0,2mm Layers otherwise it could fail to recreate the inner form correctly.

It has some unique design features:

  • AMS compatible (see assembly)
  • Only 0,5g of PLA (2.000 parts per Roll)
  • Especially designed for 3D-Printing at 0,2mm layers
  • Minimal size
    • Height only 2,8mm
    • flat on the outside of the spool
  • Special inner form.
    • Broad intake for easy insert of the filament
    • Exact and softly curved guidance on the inside.
    • Special exit point and angle to avoid filament sticking out the roll.
  • Hollow Studs
    • They provide strong connection and are just flexible enough to click in without play.
    • Centering a Phillips screw driver. (see disassembly)
Boost MeIf you like the design , your support is welcome.

Assembly:

Click in the Clip on the right side of an original Bamboo Lab spool. Do not use it on the left side.

It is recommend to use 2 clips per spool, therefore there is always one in reach.
The lager hole should be on the back side now.

Disassembly:

Use an Phillips Screwdriver something similar to push on the Studs from the outside in to losen the Clip. It's reusable.

It's not recommended using a Pencil, it might break and get stuck inside the studs.
