Magnetic Life Counter for Magic the Gathering

These magnetic life counters were designed to feel as smooth and satisfying as possible. After experimenting with many printed-only versions, I found that adding magnets was the key to getting that satisfying click and resistance during rotation.

 

Each counter uses 14 round 2x1mm neodymium magnets to hold its position while staying easy to turn. I recommend using a small drop of super glue when inserting the magnets to keep everything secure over time.

 

Make sure the magnet polarity is correct when assembling—this is essential for smooth operation.

 

Originally made for Magic: The Gathering, but they work just as well for Dungeons & Dragons, general board games, or anything else where you need to track values up to 99.
