Description
The standard nozzle wiper doesn’t always clean the hotend well, so all printer users look for simple and effective solutions to this problem. There are already many different upgrades available, but most of them require printer modifications (such as drilling holes, gluing parts, or changing the G-Code). Personally, I didn’t want to do that and found a simple solution.
You will only need a standard nozzle wiper, a silicone nozzle wiper for the A1 printer, a printed stopper, and a tool.
First, you need to prepare the silicone nozzle wiper from the A1. Cut off one row of teeth on one side, skip the next row, and remove the teeth from the third row. On the opposite side, cut off four rows, as shown in the photo. Next, remove the bolt from the standard nozzle wiper and install the silicone nozzle wiper in the shape of the number "9," as shown in the photo. After that, install the printed stopper, tighten the bolt, and mount the upgraded nozzle wiper in the printer.
I have personally tested this upgrade and continue using it—everything works perfectly, and I’m satisfied with the results.
