Aerodactyl #142:
"A savage Pokémon that died out in ancient times. It was resurrected using DNA taken from amber." ~Pokemon Yellow Pokedex Entry

Scientists found amber containing DNA from a fierce prehistoric flying pokemon at the foot of Mt. Cinnabar. Scientists resurrected the this ancient beast to learn more about how it lived. The large dull spike on the back was an attachment point for large muscles connecting to the pokemon's shoulder blades, allowing it to glide great distances without tiring. The large eye holes in the skull suggest the predator had highly developed eyes and hunted by sight.

This kit card contains a full Aerodactyl skeleton and comes in a mini size [for the A1 mini, 180 mm, 7"] and a standard size [244 mm, 9.6"]. I've also provided a print profile with spare parts (non-chipped parts too), and assembly instructions.

This model benefits from the lessons learned from the Kabutops fossil puzzle model. Parts are oriented on the build plate to maximize strength, tolerances are tighter, pieces are held together by gravity more than tight interfaces, and the model's footprint is wider to improve balance. I printed this in brown PLA and transparent orange PETG for a nice fossil look.

Filament Warning: Use dry, high quality filament when printing this model. some of the smaller intricate parts struggle to stick to the bed if the filament is wet. Specifically, all the BambuLabs and Overture filaments I tested worked great, but unfortunately my favorite Stone PLA from CC3D was not up to the task. Print in PETG at own risk, the tolerances are optimized for PLA but depending on which PETG you use the pieces may still fit together. The kit card connectors are also more fragile in PETG and are difficult to remove from the print bed without breaking
