MC4 Solar Tool modified for Evo1

This is a remix of TMfantomas/ Fabrion365’s solar wrench for MC4 Plugs.

The unlocking part is modified to better suit MC4 Evo1 connectors, but it is INCOMPATIBLE with Evo2 connectors.

The original tool is good for Evo2 connectors because the two unlocking “sticks” are supported by the connector itself. The gap is needed to fit into the Evo2 connector. 

For Evo1 that’s not the case and the connector can push the two sticks outwards. That might not be a problem for everyone but my connector was very stubborn and broke the sticks.

So I modified the original and removed the gaps to eliminate the flex. I also made the unlocking part completely solid in the slicer, but you can remove this modification in the slicer if you don’t want it.

Furthermore I scaled the tool in height by about 104% because this modification let me easier unlock the connector by just pushing the tool over the hooks. Otherwise I had to push the tool along the connector to unlock the clips. The height modification was no problem for using the other tool parts when I assembled my connectors but you can undo this change if needed in the slicer.

The tool has the levers that Fabrion365 added.

To not only unlock connectors but assemble them completely you will need this tool 2 times.
