Description
This is a tool to assist with the disassembly of a CZ Shadow 2 pistol. In order to be able to push out the slide lock and remove the slide from the fame, the slide needs to be held in a specific position relative to the frame.
With health issues in the hands or if one hand is not usable, this can be very difficult. So I designed this tool to align the slide and frame in the correct position to allow for easy, even one-handed, disassembly of the pistol.
I printed this in SUNLU Easy ABS (85% ABS, 15% TPU blend). For the uploaded 3MF I have set it to Bambu ABS, since I can't upload a file with a custom filament profile. It should also work in PETG or PLA. But PETG might flex a little and PLA might break over time. But feel free to test this and report how well it worked for you.
Different materials and printers can have different tolerances. This design worked with my material, my printer and my CZ. If it does not align the slide and frame correctly for you, feel free to scale it in the slicer. Scaling the length, or X axis in the default orientation in the 3MF, should not affect the function otherwise. If it doesn't fit over your muzzle, scale the Y and Z axis the same amount to retain the round shape of the ring.
I have also included the Fusion360 file, if you want to make further changes to the design beyond simple scaling. Remixing and further development is explicitly encouraged, as long as the source is properly attributed and it's for non-commercial use :)
I've documented the steps in the pictures as well:
I have only tested this with the regular CZ Shadow 2, as I don't have access to any of the other models. If you have access to those, it would be great if you could test and report in the comments, which models it works with and which one it doesn't. Thanks!
