Stylized Bonsai Tree – Dual-Color Model (no AMS)

This stylized bonsai tree is a beautiful and versatile decorative piece for your desk, shelf, or meditation space. The model consists of two separate tree trunks—one main trunk and a secondary, twisted trunk that wraps around it. These can be printed independently, allowing for dual-color setups without needing an AMS!

The twisted secondary trunk can be interpreted as Jin or Shari elements from traditional bonsai aesthetics (deadwood features), adding depth and meaning to the design. This part of the tree fits snugly around the main trunk and both can then be pressed into the included base. A dab of superglue can be used to permanently fix the arrangement once you’re happy with the positioning.

In the preview images:

• The main trunk was printed using a fuzzy skin texture with a 0.28 mm layer height, giving it a rough, bark-like appearance.
• The twisted trunk was printed smoothly with a 0.12 mm layer height, to represent polished deadwood – a striking visual contrast that adds to the lively and dynamic nature of the piece.

This model looks amazing in classic PLA, but try it in wood filament for an extra organic feel!
