FlexY - The M.2 2280 to 2260/2242 Adapter

This creation is peak penny pinching.

 

Some motherboards will include an M.2 port that is meant to screw down a 2242 or 2260 solid state drive. However, in the event that you're in a situation where the manufacturer did this simply because they ran out of room, you may tell yourself:

 

I have so many normal sized 2280 solid state drives, I feel stupid spending money on a 2242 or 2260 form factor just so it'll fit!

 

If that sounds familiar, then you made it to the right place.

 

Behold!

 

Scientifically measured in blender with extreme caution and care to detail (🤐) this screws down into the terminal that was meant for your 2260 or 2242. Pressing down on the drive, you will hear an audible click (unless you're above the age of 25, I hear the sound of the click is faint after that).

 

I used PETG, on account of potential temps.
