Wicked Wood evokes the gnarled elegance of a long-forgotten forest, twisted and shaped by time into a protective cradle for candlelight. Designed to look like a dead tree curled around the flame, it brings a sense of ancient ritual and shadowed beauty to any space…perfect for those who appreciate the darker edge of natural forms.

 

This piece began as a particle simulation in Cinema4D, with flowing trails captured and meshed into chaotic geometry. From there, it was sculpted and refined in ZBrush, with care taken to preserve its organic flow while giving it the polish and structure needed for 3D printability. A boolean operation defines the cavity to fit standard tealight…both real wax and Bambu Lab LED versions.

 

It prints cleanly with minimal supports, all of which can be removed easily by hand. Shown here in matte black PLA, it also looks striking in deep greys, metallics, or marble-style filaments.

 

Wicked Wood is the first in The Corrupted Collection—a series of biomechanical and dark-organic home decor objects inspired by decay, growth, and the beauty found in ruin.
