Description
The dagger locks into the extreme positions with magnets so that it can be effectively unfolded by loosening the magnet in the folded position and with a quick flick of the wrist, the magnets will lock the blade in the unfolded position.
Required for printing
Print only on smooth plates - the print surface is the point of contact between the two elements and must be smooth for the dagger to extend smoothly, I therefore advise against printing on Textured PEI Plate and the like.
| Do not print on Textured PEI Plate |
Printing has been set up so that the print is paused at layer 13 (2.6mm) then you need to place the magnets in the holes.
Remember that you need to place the magnets the opposite way round in the handle than in the blade. You need to reverse the poles of the magnets so that the blade at the extremes attracts and not repels.
Join the handle and blade together with smooth surfaces (those that adhere to the Plate).
Screw together using screws and fasteners. Screw the double to the handle and the single to the blade on the other side.
ps.
The black dagger in the photos is a prototype and differs slightly from the final version.
