Fold-a-Seat: The Ultra-Portable 3D Printed Seat

Meet the Fold-a-Seat—a compact, durable, and fully 3D-printed folding seat that goes wherever you go. When folded, it’s just 60mm thick, making it easy to put in a bag, hang it in your shop, or store in a car trunk. Unfold it, and you’ve got a sturdy seat with a footprint of 240x440mm and a height of 260mm—perfect for quick breaks, long waits, or getting work done close to the ground. It even has a built in carrying handle for even easier transport.

 

Despite its lightweight design, Fold-a-Seat is tough. As a stool, it supports up to 200lbs comfortably, but it can handle up to 350lbs when used as a seat. Whether you’re gardening, working on a job site, waiting in line, enjoying a concert, or just need an extra seat on the go, this little workhorse has your back (and your butt).

 

Can print in PLA, PETG, or ABS. My testing was with PLA+ for extra strength but feel free to try it in any filament you want.

 

It’s entirely 3D printed and assembles easily—no screws, glue, or extra hardware required. Just fold, click, and sit.
