Hubble Space Telescope

Here's a detailed accurate model of the Hubble Space Telescope, an observer launched into Earth's low orbit in 1990 and is still at use today. It has brought lots of information about the universe and some famous majestic photos. This model's goal is to be accurate and recreate it's details, keeping in mind the limitations of FDM 3d printing. 

The model has some delicate parts, like thin rods, that need to be treated carefully, and some superglue is needed to glue the parts together. To build the little “cable” at the bottom of the model, you need a piece of 1.75mm filament that fits into the holes in parts “Bottom” and “MainBody1”, and you need a heat gun or a hairdrier to soften it and give it the desired shape.

In the 3mf file, plate 6 needs to be printed twice.

I have glued a round 5cm mirror to part “MainBody3”, to recreate the real telescope's primary mirror, as shown in the images above, but it's completely optional.

I recommend hanging it to the ceiling. Enjoy!
