Description
This is a template for cutting and pricking pieces of leather to sew into key chains. Outside dimensions are 25x87mm. All holes are 2.5mm in size and (except the two at the tip) spaced exactly 3.85mm apart to fit standard tool sizes. Depending on the shape of your pricking tool and the thickness of your leather, you might not be able to fully prick the leather pieces through the template. But the partial holes can then be completed with the template removed, using the partial holes themselves as the template.
The template features a convenient handle to securely hold it in place while cutting or pricking that offers enough surface area to switch hands without having to fumble and risk moving the template if needed.
I also included the Fusion360 file in the upload. So if you want to modify the dimensions to fit your use case or tools, feel free to do so :)
Pretty much any material should work for this. I used SUNLU Easy ABS, because that's what I had loaded in the AMS. But PLA should work just fine. The default print profile is set to Bambu PLA, since I can't upload the 3MF with the custom Easy ABS filament profile.
There really aren't any. This is a straight forward print with a pretty self-explanatory use case. However one disclaimer, I have no clue about leather working. This was designed on request for a colleague who very much is into leather working. So if you have any leather working related questions on this, feel free to ask, but I'd probably have to consult her to answer them 😅
