Update: I made a large version that can fit about twice as many earrings, and has much more space underneath the tray for necklaces, bracelets, rings, etc.

My wife loves this earring box!
This small and portable box keeps your earrings secure, and let's you easily see them, to help you decide which ones to wear.
Can accommodate a modest number of stud earrings, or small hoops. Plus, there is space under the earring tray for other loose items, such as rings, or larger hoops.
It consists of three parts:
All of the parts snap together easily. The lid snaps onto the large nub, allowing the box to open and close. There is a snap latch built into the sides of the box that holds it securely closed (thanks to Lozagon1234 for the excellent design). The secure latch makes sure that your earrings don't fall out in your pocket or bag. It works great with a little encouragement.
The earring tray snaps into a smaller socket close to the inner-front of the box. The tray has three positions:
The design of the tray depends upon the ability of PETG to deform under load and (mostly) return to its original shape. This helps the springy hinge stay in its socket. PLA does poorly at this task. If you use PLA, the fit will get worse over time, and the tray will become loose.
I modified Lozagon1234's box to accommodate a tray, with space above and below, for earrings and posts.
