10 Years of Benchy

This is my take on the Benchy 10-Year Anniversary Competition—a unique Benchy sculpture in the form of string art! You can display it as a standalone piece or place your favorite Benchy inside for an eye-catching showcase.

The model is printable in single or multi-color. To save filament during color changes, I’ve purged into the infill on both plates. If you follow the same color arrangement I used, please note: the plum color is faintly visible through the white letters. I actually love the effect—it reveals the cool gyroid pattern beneath—but if you prefer a crisp, snow-white finish, I’d recommend avoiding purging into the white sections.

This project was a real labor of love. I’ve never done string art before, so it took countless hours of trial and error to get it just right. I’m really proud of how it turned out, especially making the strings strong enough to hold a Benchy inside.
