Description
For years, I've been finding it frustrating when trying to mark a straight line on a 2x4 wall. Every square I tried was too large, and even the Milwaukee 4.5-inch trim square didn’t quite fit my needs. Eventually, it dawned on me—I could simply make my own.
So, here it is: a square specifically designed for use on a 2x4 wall. This file is optimized for 3D printing in an upright position without support. I recommend using three perimeters for durability and possibly PETG to ensure it withstands the rigors of a job site.
I even had one CNC-machined in Stainless steel through JustWay,
https://www.justway.com/ and the process was surprisingly seamless. I visited their website, selected CNC milling, uploaded the included .step file, and specified a quantity of one. Next I set the Design Units to inches, chose my material (if anyone wants to sponsor me for titanium, that would be awesome!), selected the standard surface finish, which turned out stunning, and submitted the design for engineer review. They verified the file’s manufacturability, and in two weeks, I had a beautiful and durable square of my own design.
