Description
Hanging a flag neatly can be harder than it seem, especially if your flagpole doesn't come with proper mounting hardware, or if you're not good at tying knots. Recently I received a flag and pole from my in-laws to proudly display at my home, but ran into this exact issue. That’s why I designed these easy-to-use 3D printable flag clamps.
Â
These clamps make it simple to:
There are two versions of the clamp:
They attach firmly to the flagpole using a tool-less hand-tightening mechanism and feature sturdy hooks for attaching your flag. Switching between full-mast and half-mast with ease.
If your flagpole has a different diameter, feel free to send a request! I’ll be happy to upload other sizes upon demand.
After printing, the thread on the cap may feel a bit tight. I recommend fully screwing the cap onto the base the first time to help the threads settle in and smooth out. This makes future use much easier and ensures a better fit.
Â
Material Recommendation:
I printed the clambs in PLA, which is perfectly suitable for this purpose. Even though PLA isn’t highly resistant to water or heat, that’s not a problem here, these clamps are only used outdoors occasionally, for short periods. They should hold up just fine under typical flag-flying conditions. Feel free to use other materials for your print!
