NFC Tags for Automation

I designed this NFC tag holder to hide the plain round NFC disc behind a cleaner, more attractive cover that can be placed anywhere in the house. With a quick scan, it triggers automations on my phone.

So far I’ve made three variants:

1. Phone audio alerts
2. Dehumidifier control
3. Instant-noodle timer

The underlying NFC disc is 25 mm in diameter and roughly 1 mm thick (including its unpeeled adhesive backing).

I’m also sharing a blank version of the holder for anyone who’d like to customize or remix it.
