Description

This is the V1 version of an accessory controller box I made for my Bambulab X1C. For a 12-24v input, it features up to 4 PWM-controlled outputs, controllable and automatable through smart home systems such as HomeAssistant. Example usages can be for dimming external lighting or controlling the fan speed of the fans inside a bentobox, and more!

A full guide for the list of materials, setup, possible automations and integrations with my Bambulab to HomeAssistant flows can be found here: https://www.wolfwithsword.com/bambulabs-smart-control-box/

This V1 version will friction-fit perfectly for the buck converter, mosfet board and the barrel jack plugs. The d1 mini slot will require hot glue as I found not all d1 mini clones are exactly the same dimensions and not all even have holes for screws. I would recommend hot-glue regardless if you are soldering wires directly to the board as strain relief. Screws should be sized fine for M3's of 8-10mm, and the magnet holes on the bottom may or may not require some glue for 6x3mm magnets. More details can be found in the guide.

No supports needed, print as is. Recommend at least 2 walls so screws can have more material to bite.

I am currently in the process of designing a more compact solution for a V2, moving the mosfet board into a shield for the d1 mini. This will take some time but for now this V1 version does not take up too much room and is ready to make today!
