Description
The O.Zone Mk.7 is the original design in the O.Zone camera lineup—a fully 3D-printed, compact 6x9 medium format film camera built for photographers who love both analog process and hands-on creation.
Born from a passion for photography, DIY making, and a fascination with transforming ideas into functional tools, this camera was designed to be lightweight, reliable, and field-ready. With no supports required during printing and only a few standard parts to assemble, the O.Zone Mk.7 is an accessible entry point into medium format film shooting—and it's just the beginning.
✅ Modular & Compatible – Works with Mamiya Sekor lenses, Horseman 6x9 backs, and now Mamiya RB backs
✅ Portable & Rugged – Small footprint, field-tested stability
✅ Simple Build – Easy to print, easy to assemble
✅ Creative Freedom – Customize, tweak, and explore film photography your way
✅ Inspired by History – A design language that draws from military aerial cameras
Whether you're a seasoned film shooter or new to analog workflows, the O.Zone Mk.7 gives you a tactile, customizable, and deeply rewarding camera experience—made by you, for your way of seeing.
My journey with 3D printing started in 2017, when I first got access to a printer. What began as simple experimentation quickly became a deeper interest—being able to prototype and build physical tools from scratch opened up a whole new way of working for me.
By 2023, I had been thinking for a while about designing a camera of my own—something practical, portable, and personal. That fall, with some free time on hand, I finally decided to go for it.
That’s when the O.Zone came to life.
The name blends my last name, Oh, with Zone—a reference to zone focusing. It’s a fully 3D-printed medium format camera designed to bridge utility and creative freedom. Every component—from the lens mount to the film back—was carefully thought out to prioritize function, ease of use, and clean design. Drawing from the aesthetics of military aerial cameras, I aimed for a form that was compact, efficient, and ready to travel.
