Description
This is a self watering seed starter tray that's been tested for a few years. Â Uses a bottle to self water so you don't over/under water your seedlings. Â Pots are designed to not disturb the delicate roots when transplanting. Â Enclosed tray design to lessen evaporation and avoid mosquitos. Â A optional transparent lid that is designed for tall seedlings and is designed to not fly away in the wind.
Â
Printing Notes (I used PETG HF)
Plate 1: Standard sized pots.
Plate 2: Tall pots. Â Great deeper root system or want to keep seedlings longer.
Plate 3: The bottom of the pot, required. Â The push from bottom design makes sure the seedling roots aren't disturbed when removing.
Plate 4: Spacing grid. Needed to keep the pot in the tray
Plate 5: The Tray it self. Â Special print settings. PETG HF, 5 to 10 degrees hotter than default and 100% infill to make sure it doesn't leak.
Plate 6: Default 9mm riser to keep pot just at water line. Â For seeds that need a wet environment. A tray cover to stop mosquitos. A Pellegrino 250ml bottle adaptor.
Plate 7: Pellegrino bottle cap. Uses 1 Marble Run 14mm acrylic marble. Â Print pauses half way to install ball. Â If you don't have this kit, you can buy 14mm marbles from Amazon.
Plate 8: Transparent lid, print with Transparent PETG using Vase mode. Has an all around edge to latch in the tray so it doesn't blow away in the wind. Optional.
Plate 9: Optional 12mm riser. Â Keeps the pot above the water line. Use with lid to create a humid and none wet environment. For seeds that might rot if it gets too wet. Â Pellegrino 750ml bottle adaptor, for use with the transparent lid due to more evaporation.
Plate 10: Optional tray cover that can support an LED plant light. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09CTNVVRR
