Garden Star Decoration

I remixed this star to add a mount to the back of it, and scaled the size larger to use as outdoor patriotic decor.  I made maximum use of the space.  With Polymaker ASA, and the painted brims on the corners, I did not have any issues with warping.  My initial tests with PLA did experience some warping at the corners (though I didn't have brims at the time), so YMMV.  If you face challenges with warping, you can scale down.

 

Easy print and assembly - I printed in ASA, but I'm sure PETG would work well also.  The support on the back pops off cleanly, allowing the mount to be centered and recessed slightly.  The mount will fit a half inch post, like a dowel rod for example.  I used bamboo poles that you can find in the garden center, with a couple wraps of electrical tape to provide some friction so it doesn't come off.
