2026-06-14 - UPDATE:
Added the PicaDry version. I aimed to keep the same measurement divisions; however, note that the PicaDry body is larger than a standard pencil. As a result, at positions like 5 mm, you won’t be able to trace across a large surface because the body of the PicaDry will come into contact with the surface. This causes the assembly to tilt instead of sitting flat. That said, it can still be used in certain scenarios where only the plastic component touches the surface.
With this simple tool you can use a standard pencil to mark lines parallel to a plane with the following distances:
5 - 10 - 12 - 15 - 18 - 20 mm [Metric Version]
¼ - 3/8 - ½ - 5/8 - ¾ - 7/8 - 1 Inch [Imperial Version]
Tested with standard round and hexagonal pencil. The fit is quite snug to avoid movements of the pencil inside the hole
