Membership

This is a redesigned version of an older project. While retaining a similar external silhouette, all internal structures have been completely re-engineered, with divergent design objectives (the original prioritized extreme miniaturization).

The original design, over-optimized for miniaturization, demanded unrealistically high printer precision, leading to widespread assembly challenges reported by users.

Design Goals:

  1. Provide clear audible "click" feedback during blade sliding.
  2. Compatible with printers of varying precision and filaments with different shrinkage rates.
  3. Achieve controllable deployment resistance within minimal space.
  4. Accommodate various T-shaped blade sizes (up to 62mm with 0.15mm tolerance).
  5. Easy to print and assemble—no glue or hardware required.
  6. Minimize overall size while meeting above requirements.


 

 

 

The openwork surface pattern provides visibility into the internal undulating rack, which generates crisp audible "click" feedback and controlled resistance during blade deployment.

  • Support-free printing
  • Simple assembly and operation
  • No blade lock mechanism (continuous thumb pressure required to maintain blade extension; unsuitable for heavy-duty tasks)
