Color Sorting Pen Holder – Montessori-Inspired

This fun and functional pen holder was designed with little learners in mind. Inspired by a simple sketch from my wife, it features five small round containers arranged neatly on a slim tray – perfect for organizing pens, pencils, or crayons by color.

Each container can be printed in a different bright color (like red, yellow, green, blue, and pink), encouraging children to sort their writing tools in a playful, Montessori-inspired way. The containers are 3D printed, while the base tray was laser-cut for a clean, modern look.

Ideal for desks, classrooms, or creative corners at home, this colorful organizer makes tidying up part of the fun – and supports color recognition and fine motor skills.
