Bust of Macedonian King, Alexander the Great

This bust depicts Alexander the Great, the Macedonian king who ruled from 336 to 323 BC and is remembered as one of history’s most successful military commanders. The original scan is shared by Scan the World under a noncommercial remix license.

 

For this remix, I designed a new base to replace the one in the original scan (included for reference). I also separated the base from the bust to maximize print size on A1, X1, and P1 printers. The parts are intended to be printed separately and glued together post-print.

 

The bust was angled in Bambu Studio to minimize supports, and infill was optimized to balance strength and material use. Printed in Elegoo Marble PLA using the Generic High-Speed PLA profile. Some light sanding was used to clean up support contact points.

Note: Tall prints can lose adhesion in the final moments. Please wash your build plate prior to printing. Or consider scaling down 10%. I've also had really good luck using BIQU Cryogrip Pro Frostbite build plates.
