Description
Makita router attachment (RT0701C series) for bottom dust extraction.
An unusual chip extraction attachment - screwed underneath, to the foot, for edge work. It covers the cutter and its work area, extracting dust directly from the place where it is created.
Typical top extraction (i.e. between the milling machine and the foot, extracting chips upwards) do not remove the spoil well when working with a long edge cutter. A lot of dust flies down and to the sides. I designed such an accessory that collects dust around the cutter, not allowing it to fly in all directions.
Milling machines, such as Makita rt0700 rt0701 rt0702c etc. - have a hole spacing in the base (45mm x 56mm) - in the case of this attachment, you need to unscrew (4 pcs M4 screws) the black original plate from the base, and screw the printed attachment with the same screws.
The printed attachment now also acts as a sliding base, between the router and the processed element, so maybe it is worth printing this surface with ironing?
there are two versions - with a small base (minimalist, no larger than the original router base, for tight spaces), and with a larger sliding plate - if there is room for it, the larger base makes it easier to maintain perpendicularity to the material.
The vacuum cleaner tube (hole for it) is 32mm, typical for home vacuum cleaners. Of course, you can also insert any adapter for a different diameter of the exhaust pipe here.
large version (printed on P1P/P1S/X1C etc.) with a table size of 150x200 (spacing of additional mounting holes - 100x150) - added as .3mf file
