Description

This Ant Bait Station is a fully original Design.

It includes two different bases and three different covers:

First Base is a plain base for the Original lids that fit snug but are more easily removed for refilling the bait.

Second Base and Alternate solid top lid has Nubs and Indents to more securely hole the base and lid together.

When Printing the topper with the sight hole on top, use of a 34 mm round piece of clear plastic will

help keep your bait from drying out and protect from inquisitive visitors and settling dust.

Depending on your settings, this may create a more permanent one time loading of bait.

But may create a more tamper resistant Bait station.

Recommend are gel or pasty type baits if you do a search most use either a borax or boric acid recipe.

Tarro liquid ant bait works great for these.

This is a general bait recipe

2 tsp Peanut Butter

2 tsp Honey or corn syrup

1/2 teaspoon of Boric Acid power or Borax

Don't overdo it.

If you use too much Boric acid the ant's will avoid it

or too much borax could cause the bait to harden too much

This should be enough to fill 10 -12 bait stations or more depending on how you load them.

This will draw many types of normal ants from those searching for sweet sugary baits, to those on the quest for Proteins and should draw even the pesky little grease ants and larger carpenter ants

NOTE of CAUTION

Boric Acid is derived from Borax and due to it's finer powder is said to be more effective when using in insect baits.

Just be especially careful when using boric acid powder and it is recommended to use a respirator while using the fine powdered form to prevent any potential irritation from inhalation.

Boost MeIf you find this useful and happen to have any Boost getting ready to expire. It would be appreciated if you decided to use any on this disign.

Thank You for your downloads, prints and support!

Added a second Print Profile of a thinned out version for those that are filament usage minded.

Has added tabs and matching indents in base for a bit more secure fit

The Original covers with out the tabs will still fit if you still want the looser fit.
