Description
This is an ongoing project to build a fully independent irrigation system without access to a fixed outdoor water tap.
At the heart of the setup is a 100-liter water barrel, placed on the balcony. A 3D-printed pump mount holds a 12V water pump originally designed for camper vans, which provides the necessary water pressure. The pump currently feeds a commercial drip irrigation kit, but the goal is to gradually replace the system with custom 3D-printed drippers, valves, and connectors.
To make the system hands-free, I automated it using a smart outlet, which controls when the pump is powered—either on a schedule or remotely via an app.
