Hygger LED Aquarium Light Rim Tank Mount Adapter

This adapter will allow you to mount the Hygger LED light to your Rimmed Aquarium.  The mount that comes with the LED fixture is really only meant for rimless aquariums.  This adapter will sit down over the black rim on the aquarium.  You screw the existing mount to this adapter and then use the included modeled thumb screws to secure this adapter to the inside of the glass.

WARNING!  This is NOT meant for heavy fixtures!  The plastic WILL fail, or the adapter will break from the weight pulling on it.

The fixture I have is “Hygger Clip On Full Spectrum Aquarium LED Light, 26W Day-Night Dual Timer Sunrise-Day-Sunset-Moon Fish Tank Light, Adjustable Timer Brightness with 9 Colors for Planted Tank” and comes with TWO brackets to distribute the weight because of the longer length.  Mine is fixed over a 70 gallon tank.

I also advise printing it relatively thick (I did 25% adaptive cubic infill, as is shown in the attached profile) and printing it in PETG as this bracket is designed to secure firmly against the INSIDE of the glass under the black rim, and the threads and part of the bracket could remain submerged below your water line.  I intentionally did not fillet/chamfer any of the joints so that the two brackets would nest together more tightly.

I've included a 2 plate version of this profile so that you can print the models separately, but you should be able to just copy the thumb screws to the bracket plate and print all together.
