Description
Named after the common grackle.
This is a very competitive chassis and I consider it a medium to difficult build.
You wil need a lot of knowledge to build this chassis.
The chassis can be build with the standard 1.4 screws. I have bought an extra set for this.
(easy to come by on multiple sites)
You can build this chassis in multiple ways, long and short.
If you want to build the long version, You wil (probably) need a carrier bearing;
This file can be found here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1381149-scx24-carrier-bearing-axial-mini-crawler#profileId-1429585
skidplate (for stock transmission)
chassis rails
roof
bridge (front and back)
extensions for the longer build.
4 ‘nuts’ if you dont have
The wheels used in this build are 1.8 beadlocks an can be found here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1393457-scx24-1-8-inch-beadlock-wheel#profileId-1444074
They are not nessecary for the build, standard 1.0 wheels will work just a well.
Boost MeIf you like my designs, I would be grateful for a like, rating, comment. or a boost :)
The build shown also contains custom made links and an outrunner motor front mounted.
The links are made from m2 threaded rods with m2 angled rod ends.
There is not much room for electronics, so I soldered my esc to my motor with very short wires
I also used a small am32 naked esc, naked reciever and a very small 2s 250maH battery (length is aprox 35mm)
a how to on the custom links:
