AMS 2 Pro mounts for AMS Glass Slider Riser V5

I've updated this model so that it now includes a strut to support the AMS2 Pro when you work on it.  Nice and simple to print, highly functional, what's not to like!

I've been using the excellent series of AMS risers from Sanja 3d but was having difficulty mounting my new AMS2 Pro to the AMS Glass Slider Riser V5 – Tilt Function P1S X1C.

 

I saw one or two suggestions of how the existing AMS components could be made to fit but wasn't happy with the way the mounting points connected to the bottom of the AMS2, they just used too much stress / deformation for me to be happy with them.

 

Anyway, since the creator of the riser doesn't allow remixes or derivative works, I've created my own mounting units using a clean room design (measurements and 3d prints) and ended up making a parametric Autodesk Fusion design which is entirely my own.

 

I've tested the mounting points and they work really well, do not place any real stress on either mount, or AMS body, and hold firmly.

 

My print profile is PETG (pretty much everything I do these days is printed in PETG) but please do upload your own profiles in whatever material you prefer.

 

No supports are necessary, and there is no additional hardware required, but you will need to print yourself an AMS Glass Slider Riser V5 – Tilt Function P1S X1C.

 

If you don't want the tilt function, the Version 4.5 of the riser is great, it's what I used before I printed the upgrade to the tilting version.

 

Please support the creator of the riser too, It's really well engineered with a great range of accessories, it's low profile and does exactly what it needs to do, and not a lot else!
