Michelangelo's La Pietà Saint Mary and Jesus HiRes

This is my remix of Michelangelo's La Pietà. There are other versions of this model on Makerworld, but this is one of the most detailed, oriented to prevent failures, and scaled to take advantage of the A1's bed volume. 

 

The model is split into two parts to maximize size, minimize supports, and reduce overhangs. The corner piece on plate two is face down. To reduce the seam, consider the print plate you're using and how smooth the surfaces will be. A smooth plate would be ideal, but if you're using a textured plate, flipping the corner piece to face up may create a smoother surface. 

 

I found .12 layer lines are best, but you could do .16 lines to save time. The corner piece uses .2 layer lines.

 

I printed it in Elegoo Marble PLA using the Generic High Speed Profile

Note: Tall prints can lose adhesion in the final moments. Please wash your build plate prior to printing. Or consider scaling down  10%. I've also had really good luck using BIQU Cryogrip Pro Frostbite build plates.
