The Plant Root Growing Box is a special tool for easy plant propagation using the air layering method. This box enables quick and efficient rooting of branches directly on the parent plant without the need to cut them off first. Made from durable, reusable plastic, it is suitable for a wide range of plants – from shrubs and trees to ornamental species. Thanks to its secure locking mechanism and practical design, the box stays firmly in place and protects developing roots from damage and drying out.
I offer this model in two sizes:
The smaller variant has a rooting chamber diameter of 50 mm and is suitable for branches up to 9 mm in diameter.
The larger variant has a rooting chamber diameter of 70 mm and fits branches up to 13 mm in diameter.
Benefits:
Fast rooting and high propagation success rate
Easy installation without damaging the parent plant
Reusable material
Two sizes for different plant types
Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
Instructions for Use (English):
Select a branch: Choose a healthy, vigorously growing branch of a diameter suitable for the box.
Ring peel the bark: Remove a ring of bark (1–2 cm wide) at the selected spot to expose the wood (ring peeling).
Fill the box: Fill both halves of the box with moist moss, peat, or sand.
Attach the box: Place the box around the exposed part of the branch and close it securely using the included clips.
Watering: Regularly check the moisture of the substrate inside the box and add water as needed.
Wait for roots: After 1–6 months (depending on the plant species), new roots should be visible inside the box.
Separate and transplant: Once the root system is sufficiently developed, cut the rooted branch below the box and plant it in soil.
