Description
Remix of the Plant Watering Globe, but I turned it into a Self-Watering Slow Drip Plant Globe. It's effectively the same print (which is a great print!) with the addition of a Slow Water Dripper insert.
Â
Super simple design, quick print, strong and sturdy, does exactly what it's supposed to do - slows the flow of the water to a drip. Depending on how wet or dry the soil is will determine how quickly (or slowly) water will be released.Â
Â
** The size of the Slow Water Dripper insert CANNOT be scaled. The hole is 1.15mm. Scaling will alter the size which will affect the flow of water.
Â
Dripper insert pictured below. Simply drop into the handle or spout of the plant globe. Use a skinny, blunt object (in my case a chopstick) to push it down snug and secure to ensure that it seals. Test it, fill the globe up with water. If water flows out (not dripping) then the insert is not in tight enough. If the water is dripping out, then you're good to go!
Â
Â
In the image below you can see how the Water Drip insert is placed snug in the globe's spout (or handle, whatever you want to call it).
