If you have curly puffy hair and you have ever tried to put it in a ponytail, you'd know such a pain in the a** it is to use a normal hair tie. For the curly hair society, other tools should be used to achieve the perfect, painless, effortless ponytail: one of them is a curvy hair clip.

 

I actually designed this one for myself (hence the skulls), and I was really tired of breaking the comb-finger thingies on my clips, so the combs are thicker than a normal curvy clip. However, I don't think this clip suits straight or wavy hair because of the thick and open combs. If you have thinner or less-textured hair, my new design, The Perfect Banana Clip, is better suited to your hair!

The 8 cm version works well for medium-thickness hair. For thin hair or very thick hair, you can downscale to about 6.5 cm or upscale the model to about 9 cm or more.

 

Print Notes:
It's a quick and easy print and has a very simple assembly process. Print with 0.16 layer height and supports enabled. Then, put the pieces together like the photos, and use a little bit of glue only on the groove of the two hinge components:
