Description
As a designer passionate about modular systems, I constantly explore ways to bring adaptability and functionality into everyday lab tools. This rotary test tube holder is a product of that philosophy—built entirely around modularity, both in structure and use.
The core of this design lies in its stackable carousel system, allowing users to expand storage by simply adding more layers. Each rotor disk snaps or threads into the vertical axis, and the petal-style slots are U-cut to suspend standard test tubes securely—no pressure points, no slipping.
The base is engineered with hexagonal ports for a snug fit and visual alignment, making it easy to clean and customize. Whether you're working in a high school lab, a DIY biohack space, or a professional R&D setup, this model adapts to your environment.
I designed each part to be independently printable and easily replaceable—true to the spirit of modular design. This not only makes the part repairable and sustainable but also encourages experimentation. You can scale it up, mix materials, or attach accessories like tube clips or labels.
This isn't just another lab accessory—it's a modular toolkit built for makers and scientists who value adaptability and intentional design.
