Description
I needed a new hatch cover for my sailboat and tried to make a replacement cover with the same threads but I realized that it was easier to make both components from scratch.
This hatch fits into a hole 162 mm wide (6 3/8 inches). A 2.5 mm gasket can be added to make a nice seal. It is a tight fit but if you stretch the gasket while you are pressing it into the part with a wooden dowel (I used a carpenter pencil).
I made two versions, one with incorporated depressions for opening and closing, and one with a handle that can be screwed on with m4 screws.
