OnePlus Triple Charging Dock (All USB-C), + Apple

Boost MeA lot of effort went into the design and prototypes. I don't ask for much, but I'm proud of this one. :D

After a decade of iPhone use, and the advent of RCS adoption in the apple ecosystem (and overall just wanting change for change) I adopted the OnePlus 13R phone… and their Oneplus Watch 2… and their Oneplus Buds Pro 3…

 

ANYWAY, I'm hooked, and thought “alright, there's a billion apple chargers that do ”all three" no problem, I'll just buy one for my OnePlus stuff".

 

Surprise surprise, I think the entire 3rd party accessory world just hates this company. I cannot find anything useful for the life of me. xD  But, that's a nice wide opening for Makerworld entries I guess. So behold!:

 

THE ONEPLUS TRIPLE CHARGING DOCK.

 

This utilizes USB-C in all 3 locations. (As seen below):

 

 

You see… the “R” series doesn't have Qi charging of any kind. The iphone 16e also ditched magsafe. We're seeing a rift where the budget edition of the phone loses wireless charging capabilities. And honestly… that's an ok compromise, since most of these phones can charge over the wire at a super fast pace (the OnePlus 13R charges at a blistering 55~100w out of the box (depending on the country you're in), and other phones can go even faster!).

 

Don't worry, our iPhone friends are not left behind. Perhaps your iphone doesn't have wireless charging? Perhaps you're interested in increasing the life of the battery in your iphone, and don't want the heat from Qi charging. If you're in the Apple ecosystem, an adapter for the watch location is provided, and your airpods / airpod pros fit just as handily in the lower deck.

 

The magic is in this CHIN LOCK clip.

 

This pinches the USB-C neck-bend rubber, while grabbing the top of the unit so the USB-C cable cannot fall out. Insert your USB-C cable to the height you like (basically the minimum distance required for the “click” of the USB-C cable to dock with your phone is best).

 

Cable management is easy. There's pinch troughs for all cables to follow. To accommodate for multiple styles, a C grabber is available for the suspended cable that comes off the watch. It loosely retains the apple watch cable, but depends on that cable being in the trough to stay proper.

 

The base has an empty section about 3 coins tall that you can use to weight the base. Put those precious pennies to good use.
