Decorative & Functional Desk Grommets

Does your desk come with grommets for cords to pass through? Not happy with how they work or want to customize them to fit your needs? 

Fill the hole in your desk with your choice of screws and lids, secured underneath by a nut.

All required pieces provided, no supports needed.

PROBLEM

Sometimes the desk grommets that come with the desks can be finicky – some problems that frustrate me:

• Pieces don't stay in place (e.g. the rubber piece keeps popping out!)
• Unplugged cords fall through
• Needing to shove cords through because the rubber piece is so small

SOLUTION

So with that, I decided to design some pieces of my own so they can be customized to any need. I designed the main part (what I call the “screw”) with threads on the inside so it can have interchangeable screw-on lids that stay in place and are easy to change out based on different needs (e.g. specific cord requirements (quantity/sizes), seasonal decor, personalized designs). 

I've provided several basic lids and example models for inspiration for you to make ones to fit your needs.
